Hoover Slalom Allergy Care Plus+
Hoover Slalom Allergy Care Plus+ Launched July 2008 - I bought mine the day it was launched, and I was the first person in the area to have one! I’m REALLY pleased with it! Obviously, it doesn’t have the build-quality of a vintage model, but it’s no worse than anything else in the price-range, and lightyears ahead of The One / Dustmanager ranges. Performance-wise, it’s brilliant. No complaints with the suction or pick-up. The Active Steering feature works well, although not as light to handle as a Sebo Felix or a Vorwerk. It’s great to finally see something from Hoover which isn’t just another Purepower/Dust Manager variant.

That is the ugliest vacuum I have ever seen. But who cares about looks when its performance is outstanding?
the only real difference I’ve found between the X4 and the felix is that the X4 is a heck of a lot bigger and heavier to use. Although the weight difference isn’t much, it feels a lot heavier when you’re it. The X4 is good for large area’s of carpet in larger houses. I’d recomend the felix if you have a mix of both carpet and hard floor.

I forgot to add; the Felix comes with Good Housekeeping’s ‘Seal of Approval’, and Which? Magazine recommends it as a Best Buy.
The Felix is a great cleaner - I had one for about a year.
I haven’t used the latest Vorwerk model, but they’re VERY overpriced for what they are. They’re only sold through one official dealer in the UK, so I’d imagine parts and service are difficult to obtain, and expensive.
Personally, out of those two, I’d choose the Sebo Felix.
You sound like an expert… I was thinking of getting the Sebo Felix, what do you think of their performance? If no good what about the Vorwerk?
